A Joyful Wedding Celebration Under the Mossy Oaks

If you know me at all, you know that it has been a dream of mine to film a wedding under the mossy oaks and y’all … my southern wedding dreams came true this April. Hannah and Joey’s wedding, located just outside of Charleston, South Carolina at the Wachesaw Plantation Club, felt like it was taken straight out of the movies, specifically, The Notebook, as Hannah had envisioned. Their wedding was already near and dear to my heart, as we had filmed Hannah’s sister’s wedding just a couple of years prior to Hannah’s special day. This is one of the sweetest families you could ever dream of meeting!

Despite rain clouds looming overhead the entire day, and the fear of having to move their ceremony indoors and away from the mossy oaks, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Hannah and her bridesmaids all got ready together in a gorgeous White House on the property of Wachesaw Club before we made our way to a stunning location for portraits. Hannah’s first look with her father had us all in tears! The way he was beaming with love as he looked at his little girl in her wedding gown had our hearts filled with joy. And by the time the ceremony came around, you could really feel the love in the air. Just wait until you hear Joey and Hannah’s handwritten wedding vows and letters to each other! One of my favorite moments of the entire day (and there were plenty of those) was at the very end of the wedding day, when Hannah and Joey shared a private dance under the stars. It was the perfect ending to their stunning day.
